Untill a couple of years ago we put all the articles on the web but we had at least 3 reasons to change our mind. Firs of all, it was exactly the same: lots of webs and blogs copied the articles without any link. Even more: some printed magazine have reproduced whole notes but 'by other authors' (can you believe it?) and, of course, without mentioning El Tangauta. On the other hand, the contents of each issue are on the web as soon as the next issue comes out. Most of our articles don't lose validity from one month to the other. Our web is still registering lots of downloads of last year issues. Finally, each PDF contains information not included on the web nor in the printed magazine. PDF is another piece, with its own specific codes, among our media. El Tangauta's the only magazine read for free all over the world for the last 15 years. The only thing we ask is to be asked for authorization before reproducing our material and we really think it's not too much. But still... Copy-paste culture is and will remain a fact. World publishers are dealing with it the best we can. We keep trusting in people who read, the people we work for: sooner or later they know who, where, how and what. He accepts his responsibility for the lack of tango essence in the new movement. That's big. He learned from milongueros, but didn't pass on what he learned from them and got caught up in creating some new. I appreciate the fact that he admits the new tango lost respect for what tango is. I hope this interview is read by teachers as well as dancers and sends shock waves to the tango world. It's about time the record was set straight about the nuevo tango movement.
